Volunteer Engagement
In the first year of the program, BEd students complete a practicum in the fall and one in the spring in a school on Prince Edward Island. Students are placed in a grade/subject that coincides with their cohort or subject specialization (e.g., English, Science). In their second year, students may request to teach in another province, or participate in an alternative practicum (e.g., another grade level, literacy, integrated arts, inclusion).
