UPEI's English as a Second Language (ESL) Youth Program is a wonderful opportunity for youth aged 15 to 18 to live on Prince Edward Island for a summer and learn English. The program is open to both Canadian and international students and is available as a three-, four-, or five-week program, commencing each year in mid-July. For international students, the summer is as much an introduction to Canada and Prince Edward Island as it is an opportunity to learn English. Most of our Canadian students receive funding from the Canadian federal government as a bursary to pay for the program.
During the summer months, the Centre for Life-Long Learning also offers opportunities for adults to improve their English conversation skills and study academic English.
